Well, here we go, yes it's a blog. Rather fashionable really isn't it? Even for those who don't like blogs.

Why do we have a conference blog? Several reasons (in no particular order):

• using a blog makes it easy to add links and information for conference participants
  
• MelbourneDAC as a conference event is serious about the importance of process over content
  
• as part of this we want to document the experience of the conference and to archive that experience
  
• we are hoping to get wireless installed for the conference and so live blogging becomes an experiment worth at least trying
