Mark is well known internationally as one of the most innovative figures in the networked world, and his projects have consistently been at the cutting edge of critical and creative digital design practice. Amerika was recently appointed to the Fine Arts faculty at the University of Colorado at Boulder where he has been developing a cutting-edge Digital Art curriculum During his tenure at RMIT Mark will be participating in several events, including a public lecture, workshop, and symposium. In addition he will be participating in the School's academic programs, undertaking his own research and creative digital practice, and mentoring staff and students. There is currently a retrospective of Mark Amerika's work at London's Institute of Contemporary Arts, and his most recent project has been FILMTEXT, a digital narrative for cross-media platforms commissioned by Playstation as part of their "Third Space" program.
