Visiting Research Fellow 1998
During 1998 Dr Stuart Moulthrop, of The University of Baltimore, was the (then) Department of Communication Studies Visiting Research Fellow. Below is what we had online then, about his tenure.
Dr. Stuart Moulthrop, of The University of Baltimore, is currently the Department of Communication Studies Visiting Research Fellow.
Dr Moulthrop is a noted hypertext and hypermedia theorist and practitioner, with an extensive record of achievement as one of the figures who has helped to define a new academic discipline and practice.
In addition he has extensive experience in the teaching of undergraduate and graduate students in the critical use and application of hypermedia, including the use of the World Wide Web, as well as the problems associated with online media in educational contexts.
During his tenure as the department's Visting Research Fellow Dr Moulthrop is intending to participate in the existing hypertext theory program, and to develop a joint research initiative that reflects the respective expertise of all members.
A public seminar is to be held (details forthcoming), and Dr. Moulthrop will be attending and contributing to various events at the University, and locally, during his stay.
