After a meeting with David Wolf, and seeing the work he's starting to do in LiveStage (which he assures me he's about to put online), I've been prompted to start doing what I've been intending to do for a long time. David is going to put his LiveStage project files online. This is something I had thought of doing but:
But David's right (it is good when your own students teach you things). I want to know how he does some of the things he does, since it's obvious he'll be a better LiveStage programmer than me, and if I'm so concerned about people not doing this sort of work, then making project files available would be a good way to help others.
So, from now on I'll include the LiveStage project file (I might even use LiveStage's 'gathered project' feature to build archives of the entire project for download) with my projects, you can download a PC or Mac demo of LiveStage which will let you read the project files, and even run the projects as completed movies (you just can't save or export them). It will also encourage me to write if not better code, then at least documented code. Publicness, like happens in blogs, leads to good disciplines.
